How We Make Money

Trusted Labels earns commissions through Amazon Associates. This page explains which links can earn us money and how we keep that separate from our research.

Our Amazon shopping links are affiliate links. If you follow one and make a qualifying purchase, Amazon may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you.

Amazon Associates is our only affiliate program. Links to manufacturers and other research sources are unpaid references.

As an Amazon Associate, Trusted Labels earns from qualifying purchases. When we link to a product or its reviews on Amazon, that link carries our Associates tag. This includes links on pages about brands we do not recommend.

Amazon shopping links are identified in the surrounding disclosure. Some open an exact product page; others open search results that may include different products or brands. Check the formula, size, seller, and availability before buying. A link does not mean we have tested the product or recommend every item in the results.

What We Never Do

These rules apply to our recommendations:

  • Commissions do not determine scores. Amazon availability and commission rates are not inputs to our ingredient assessments or ownership research.
  • Ownership and ingredients answer different questions. The 1-10 Ingredient Score applies to the disclosed formula reviewed. Ownership is a separate status, not a product-safety score. Some older roundups still use a legacy numeric independence field in their tables or ordering; our methodology explains that limitation.
  • Brands cannot buy a favorable review. We do not accept payment for a listing, review, higher score, or ranking.
  • Affiliate links do not override findings. Relevant recalls, formula limitations, and ownership changes belong in the review whether or not its links earn commissions. An acquisition changes the ownership record; it does not by itself change a formula's Ingredient Score.
  • We do not invent shopping urgency. We do not use stock countdowns or limited-time claims to push a purchase.

Our Commitment

Our reviews are research-based assessments. Read the formula scope, review date, sources, and limitations on each page. An Ingredient Score is our interpretation of the available evidence, not a guarantee that a product will suit everyone.

You can read our research without buying anything. If a product you already use meets your needs, an ownership finding or affiliate link is not a reason on its own to replace it.

Prices, sellers, formulas, and availability can change after a review. The information on the current package and the exact listing matters more than a broad brand recommendation.
